After scooping the inaugural Manager of the Month award for August, the Chosen Ones continue to lead the way at the top of the Blue Badger Premier by a tight margin.
A far cry from last season, when Simon Bareford's outfit were as useful as a chocolate teapot!
Can this be Mr. Bareford's year? The question is whether or not he'll start to crumble under the pressure. It's tough at the top!
The big mover in the league from last week was Wideboys with a 51 point haul and leading contender for Manager of the Month. An astute Darren (donkey) Bent transfer has seen Wideboys get into the top three.
Spare a thought though for one of the lowest scoring point hauls so far this season, coming from Fiddy's fantasy. One can only assume that he had too much time on his hands to make some cut price transfers and capitulate from firmly in the top half to down in the doldrums in the space of a week. He'll be looking to put that right in the coming weeks.

Setting the pace!
In what proved to be a close run contest Blap Attack scooped the first prize of the year! The esteemed Pacesetter award is akin to the Charity Shield - nice to get but it doesn't really mean anything. Fabregas was the player that edged out the competition with a whopping 21 points. Allied to the Vermaelen goal and clean sheet points from Evra and Foster, what was looking like a poor week turned around after the late kick off on Saturday.
However, in the effort to win Blap Attack did sustain an injury to one of their strikers Ebanks Blake so it looks like he'll have to turn to someone equally inept!

Welcome to the Blue Badger Banter Blog!
Welcome to the BLOG for our Super League!
Hopefully this is an area we can all use that is a bit more sophisticated than the message board system on the Telegraph pages.
I'd like to stay a special welcome to the new members of Blue Badger including Fiddy Pete, Fozz Bear, Nick's Luxemboug connections and a welcome back to Adam Thompson who is getting a bt over zealous already!
Game on as of today and some more prizes to win. We've decided to go for a £20 Manager of the Month prize so there's nine chances there to win half your money back.
